SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - What's better than a good book on a cold day? How about a festival celebrating the joys of reading! The Savannah Children's Book Festival kicked off Saturday morning at Forsyth Park.
Children, friends and families celebrated the joys of reading and the power of the written word through storytelling sessions, arts and crafts, food, costumed characters and more!
Authors and illustrators from right here in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry as well as the nation as a whole gathered to share their experiences in writing, drawing, and reading.
