JASPER COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - Christmas may be a month away, but people in Ridgeland, South Carolina are getting ready for their annual Christmas trail of lights. The town has been putting up light displays all along the Blue Heron Nature Trail since Halloween.

The three quater mile trail has dozens of displays for both children and adults to enjoy.

"You can walk though the trails and see the Christmas displays; we have Christmas music going, it's just festive, you can kind of get into the Christmas spirit," said Penny Daley with the Town of Ridgeland.

The trail is free to walk through and officially opens this Friday. The trail will stay open every evening from 6pm until 9pm through Christmas.

Ridgeland will also have a lighted Christmas parade on December 3, beginning at 6pm. At 7pm, there will be a story reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Snow and Sledding.
