New chairman of Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce has a new chairman of the board.

At the 203rd annual chamber meeting, Diana Morrison handed over the gavel to incoming chairman Bert Tenenbaum.

Morrison tells WTOC she expects Tenenbaum to continue pushing the chamber's goals into 2010.

"We are doing everything we can right now, but where we need to see some strength is to make sure our government is speaking business for us," said Morrison.

The chamber recognized outgoing board members and committee chairs and presented Steve Green with the Oglethorpe Leadership Award.
