SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Georgia Lottery has picked a grand prize winner for their Powerball: Lights, Camera, Action contest.
Georgia Tech graduate Ben Callner is the grand prize winner in Georgia Lottery's Powerball: Lights, Camera, Action contest.
Participants had to produce a 30 second TV ad about Powerball coming to Georgia, which began last week on Jan 31.
Callner's ad will be broadcast during the superbowl.
"It feels really good," said Callner, who graduated from Georgia Tech as a lottery-funded HOPE Scholar, in a news release. "It feels great."
He also was awarded $5,000 and a mini-handheld HD camcorder. Four other second prize winners were also awarded a mini-handheld HD camcorder.
Callner told the Georgia Lottery he is grateful for the opportunities that the HOPE Scholarship provided.
"The HOPE Scholarship was too good to pass up, so my brother and I both went to Georgia Tech," he said in a news release. "It's the reason we stayed in Georgia."
