SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The countdown is on to this year's Saint Patrick's Day parade. We're already less than three weeks away, which means the Parade Committee is hard at work.  We caught up with them Thursday night as they were busy fine tuning last minute details.

"It's going to be good. I feel like we're way ahead of schedule. It looks like we're going to have a big parade," said Copie Burnett with the Parade Committee. "I think right now we're at 320 units, so we're planning and expecting a big parade this year."

Included this year is the Nassau County pipe and drums, as well as nine new high schools from around the state that haven't been in the parade before.

Burnett says now they're just nailing down details for upcoming events like the election of the Grand Marshall and the Celtic Cross ceremony.
