Girl's night out in Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The City of Savannah held a girl's night out.

A huge crowd packed the civic center ballroom for an evening they won't soon forget. Women from all over checked out vendors, enjoyed great food and learned some fitness tips. These ladies also left a little more relaxed thanks to some scalp, neck and shoulder massages. The city invited all female employees and spouses of male employees for the healthy evening away from home.

"It's really important that women get a medical home and establish a relationship with a primary care physician. We think that would be the first stop for women. They make many of the health care decisions for their families," said Beth Robinson, director of Savannah Human Resources.

WTOC's own Dawn Baker had the honor of speaking to the ladies about managing stress and taking care of themselves so that they can take better care of the their families. The special guest was the Style Network's superstar Ruby Gettinger. She shared her inspirational weight loss journey.
