SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - One suspect is in the hospital and another is in jail in connection with fleeing from Savannah-Chatham Metro Police.
Police said that just after 1 a.m., two suspects in a pickup sped away from officers. They were going south on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
A few seconds later, the pickup crashed at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 39th Street. One of the suspects was injured in the wreck and had to be taken to the hospital. The other was arrested.
Police said the pickup was stolen and officers found several guns inside.
Authorities believe these suspects may also be linked to another carjacking.
