Church of Jailed Youth Pastor Issues Statement

While the youth pastor of the Southside Assembly of God sits in jail charged with murdering his wife, the church has released a statement to the community.

Police say Eric Brian Golden killed his wife Dee Dee last Thursday, then buried her body in a wooded area on Fort Stewart property.

Today, Pastor Jack Moon of Southside Assembly of God released a short statement. It reads. "The congregation and I would like to thank our community for all the prayers and support we are receiving during this tragedy. Our church families are mourning the loss of a loved one, Dee Dee Golden. The events that have transpired have come as a shock to all of us. We are asking for your continued prayers and support as we walk through this difficult time."

Dee Dee Golden's funeral is Saturday at 10am at the Southside Assembly of God. She will be buried in Kingston, Georgia, where her parents live.
