SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - St. Patrick's day weekend is the busiest weekend of the year for the Hyatt Regency off Bay Street. People started booking rooms six months ago in anticipation for all the festivities.
Hyatt general manager Peter McMahon, says they're expecting a full house Friday and Saturday night.
McMahon says sales are a little off from last year, but he believes that's because the parade falls on Tuesday this year.
They've got a full staff working, plus coolers busting at rims with lots of beer and drinks for the party.
"It's exciting to have all the staff working and exciting to have so many visitors," McMahon exclaimed. "We have a very diverse crowd, young and old, that come in and celebrate. So that creates a lot of excitement."
The Hyatt has a total of 351 rooms in the hotel. McMahon says they do have some openings Monday and Tuesday.
