Sandfly Development Meeting

Residents in the Sandfly community are still worried about growth in their neighborhood. Last night, they put their heads together, still trying to keep Wal-mart out of their community. Others came to learn more and ask about phases four and five of the Truman Parkway.

Many were concerned about land use planning in the southeast part of Chatham County. County engineer Al Bungard fielded questions, and environmental impact was one of the biggest concerns.

Residents are also concerned about how development may affect the water quality in the Vernon River.
