SAVANNAH (WTOC) - The Savannah Sand Gnats looked to move to 3-0 on the season Saturday night against the Augusta GreenJackets.

In the bottom of the fourth, the sand gnats loaded the bases, but GreenJacket pitcher Justin Fitzgerald got Jose Jimenez swinging to end the Gnat threat.

The two pitchers were in cruise control after that, until the fifth when the GreenJackets loaded the bases.  A slow roller to the pitcher allowed Mike Loberg to score on a fielder's choice and the GreenJackets took the 1-0 lead.

Gnat reliever Jimmy Johnson settled in after that, shutting down the GreenJacket bats.

The game went into the 11th tied.  But Eric Campbell singled in the winning run, and the Sand Gnat winning streak is now at three.

The two teams will complete their four game set tomorrow at 2:00.
