One Pot Rigatoni & Sausage


1 1/2 lb. hot Italian sausage

2 large green peppers, diced

1 large onion, chopped

1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes

1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce

8 oz. uncooked rigatoni

1 pkg. (1.5 oz.) spaghetti sauce seasoning mix

Brown sausage in 5 qt. overproof Dutch oven. Drain off all but 1 tablespoon of drippings. Add onions and peppers and cook until tender. Stir in tomatoes, sauce and seasoning mix, cover and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Heat over to 375°. Stir in rigatoni, cover & return to boil. Place in oven, bake 30 minutes or until liquid is reduced and pasta is tender.
