American Chop Suey

AMERICAN CHOP SUEY

1/2 of an 8 oz. package noodles

1 - 15 oz. can diced tomatoes

1/4 pound shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup oil

1/2 cup sliced onion

1/4 cup thinly sliced bell pepper

3/4 pound ground beef

1 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Salt and pepper to taste (soy sauce will make it salty, don't add too much

salt)

Cook noodles until done - add salt to taste. Drain and return to pot.

Add ground beef, onion and peppers to oil in a heavy skillet. Continue cooking until meat is browned. Add tomatoes, pepper and soy sauce. Cover skillet and simmer 5 or 10 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top stir to melt cheese. Pour meat and tomato mixture on noodles and stir.
