New Information in Home Invasion

Savannah police have released more information about a man and woman found beaten and tied up in their Southside townhouse. They remain in the hospital this morning while police continue to search for their attacker.

Just before noon Wednesday, someone called Savannah police to say a couple had been found beaten and robbed at their home on Holland Park Circle. When officers arrived, they found 51-year-old Mildred Wilke and 57-year-old Edward Hglemy with apparent serious injuries police say they received in a home invasion that happened some time Tuesday morning.

Both victims were left tied up for nearly 30 hours. This morning, Hglemy is listed in serious condition at Memorial, Wilke is in good condition. Detectives recovered a car taken during the robbery later that afternoon and are treating the crime as a robbery.
