Imagine being a kid, waking up Christmas morning, and there aren't any presents under the tree. That's not going to happen if the Marines have their way. They hit the Wal-Mart Super Center on Highway 17 in Savannah today on a shopping mission, buying gifts for the Toys for Tots program, this time focusing on presents for teenagers.
"We've got several marines out here and we're going to purchase anything and everything the kids would like and want for Christmas," said Staff Sgt. Oliver Sears, who heads up the program in our area.
The Marines spent more than $5,000 today alone on toys.
