BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) - Eight birdies, no bogeys, and 23 putts. That's how Beaufort native Mark Anderson powered his way into a three shot lead after two rounds at this year's South Carolina Golf Association Amateur Championship.
The former Gamecock started just as strong in round three with a great approach followed by a birdie on the first hole. Anderson would go on to birdie holes 4, 7, 9, 12, and 13.
His only bogey of the day came on the 10th hole.
Headed into Sunday's final, Anderson holds a three shot lead over first round leader Josh Gallman at -14.
