It was a busy day for Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets started the day with an early morning practice, followed by media day, and finally a little fun.
It's known as the Great Yellow Jacket Encounter. Georgia Tech fans got a chance to get up close and personal with players and coaches, and grab a few autographs along the way.
It was nice get-a-way for the team when you consider just moments before, head coach Paul Johnson and his team fielded questions on the high expectations that come with a 15th ranking.
"I don't know that that's any different for the players than it's ever been," said head coach Paul Johnson. "I think the difference comes from the fan base and everybody talking about them and those kind of things so they have to learn how to handle that a little bit."
Tech running back and reigning ACC player of the year Jonathan Dwyer added, "being ranked number 15 is all good but it's better to be higher so we're just trying to get to that point and win an ACC championship."
Georgia Tech will kick off the season at home September 5th against Jacksonville State.
