Students Pack Care Packages for Troops

Soldiers heading overseas are getting more support from the community. Students at the Chatham Academy at the Royce Learning Center are lending a helping hand. Allied van lines donated lots of boxes to help manage all the goodies folks in the Coastal Empire are donating, and these youngsters are more than willing to put all those boxes together.

"We're just trying to support our troops," Principal Carolyn Hannaford said. "Many of our students and teachers have family who are deploying, so this is very near and dear to us."

If you'd like to help out with goods to go in these boxes for the soldiers, contact the local USO treasurer, Mitchell Bush, at 667-6242.
