One hundred twenty Marines from the Second Beach and Terminal Operations Company plus the Fourth Landing Support Battalion based out of Hunter will be sent to Camp Lejune, North Carolina. They'll be filling in for Marines who have already been deployed overseas.
"We're anxious to be getting them to help us out with homeland security, security of the base," said General David Mize, the base's commander. "There's big things coming up, getting folks ready to go out of town, training reservists, that'll come in later potentially."
The general says these reservists will also help during future deployments.
