Eagles earn first road win over Wofford

SPARTANBURG, SC (WTOC) - Earlier in the week, Eagles' quarterback Lee Chapple said the key to success over Wofford would be in finishing drives.

Looks like Chapple's taking his own advice.

Chapple turned in one of the program's best passing performances, going 25-28, with 17 consecutive completions.

The Eagles' defense continued to impress.  After Wofford came within five points of the GSU lead with 10:47 to play, Georgia Southern allowed one first down the rest of the way.

With 70 seconds left in the game, the defense recovered a key fumble to secure the 26-21 win.
