KING-TISDELL FOUNDATION The King-Tisdell Cottage is an African-American heritage museum named for its African-American owners, Eugene and Sarah King, and Sarah King and Robert Tisdell. This museum of African-American Savannah and the Sea Islands is owned and operated by the King-Tisdell Cottage Foundation, which also owns and operates the Negro Heritage Trail Tours and the Beach Institute on the corner of Price and Harris Streets. They will be holding the 3rd Annual KTCF Fashion Show June 30th, from 3pm – until the festivities end. They will also hold the 2nd Annual KTCF Jazz in the Garden August 25th. The time for this event has yet to be announced. And last but not lest the KTCF 16th Annual Awards Gala. This event will be Sept. 28th with the reception at 6:30 pm and the program starting at 7:30 pm. BEACH HIGH REUNION Calling all A.E. Beach High Bulldogs to come out and show that Mighty Blue & Gold Alumni Pride!!! The picnic will be held at the Coastal Empire Fair Grounds on June 1st from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased online at www.beachallalumnipicnic.com. Tickets may also be purchased locally at Lester's Florist and Strictly Business Barbershop. Advance tickets are $5 for all adults under the age of 65. Children 3 and under are FREE. Alumni 65 and older are FREE. Children ages 4-12 are $1 (to be paid the day of the event at the gate). On the day of the picnic, adult tickets will be $10 each. Class tent spaces are available at a cost of $30. Each tent space is 10x10 or 12x12. Tent spaces are also available for vending and informational purposes at a cost of $50. All vendors wishing to sell food or drink need to obtain a Health Department License as well as a City of Savannah Day Permit.
