Among the hardest things to prepare for during war are casualties and prisoners of war. Already there are stories of Iraq mistreating American prisoners. Congressman Jack Kingston has seen what's happened and wants to send a message to Iraq.
"You cannot treat our people that way," he said. "You must abide by the Geneva Conventions. We, as members of Congress, saw the film today, the treatment of our prisoners, executed prisoners, prisoners that have been abused, prisoners who were scared, prisoners who were being interrogated, who were being held up for ridicule. This is all a violation of the Geneva Conventions, and we're not going to put up with it."
They talked about Congressman Kingston's resolution on the floor of the House yesterday and expect a vote today.
