SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - It's just about here: The Saint Patrick's Day Parade. And while most will be heading out to get that perfect spot in the morning, some are already there now.
Rick Parrish has been outside Lafayette Square since about 4:30 am Tuesday! This is his 34thyear attending the parade. And while he can't go in the square until morning, he can be right outside in a parking spot waiting to make his mad dash.
"We've got the young bucks taking over for the old guys now. They're the ones that jump the fence, they hit the corners, and within about 30 seconds they've pretty well established boundaries of what we got," said Parrish.
Their boundaries will be large enough for the 250 people that sit with them every year.
