Local Clinic Donates Treats for Troops

More goodies are on their way to our troops overseas. The staff of the Georgia Skin and Cancer Clinic donated more than 150 care packages to the USO. For the past two weeks, workers have been collecting snacks and toiletries as well as letters for our troops. It took them an entire day to pack it all. This afternoon, everyone pitched in to load up a truck from Gaster Lumber with all the boxes.

"We just made a few phone calls to Garden City police, Chatham County police, just friends and everyone here at the clinic pitched in and did a fantastic job," said medical worker Annie Clover.

Workers also packed up several boxes of extra supplies like soap, shampoo and personal items for women.
