Savannah police say they need to get some apparently desperate people off the streets--soon. About 2am this morning, neighbors near 42nd and Ogeechee called police to report an accident. When officers arrived, the driver of an overturned car told them he was being chased by two men in a dark-colored Ford Bronco. The car's driver tried to get away by throwing the car in reverse, but it slammed into a light pole.

The driver says a passenger in the Bronco fired a gun at the car, then after the wreck, smashed the windshield and demanded money. The suspects took the man's pants with his money inside them and fled.

Police say just before 1am, the same suspects robbed a man near Victory and Montgomery.

Police are searching for a 1980s two-tone Ford Bronco, black on top and gray on the bottom. It may have a missing tail light.

Anyone with information about the robbers or the vehicle can call CrimeStoppers at 234-2020.
