SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) – And the run for the Skeadas Cup continues.

Friday, area golfers will hit the links at the Southbridge Golf Club, in hopes of gaining points in the race for the Skeadas Cup.

It's the second year the Match Play Championships have been a part of the Skeadas Cup, which consists of 10 amateur championships. John Skeadas, a 6-time Savannah City-Am champion, died in 1998.

This year's tournament drew a field of 28 golfers, including the son and grandson of the late John Skeadas.

"It's a very humbling experience.  It's a great honor and privilege to be playing out here."
