New Reward Increase in Purse Snatching Death

Sarah Price Sarah Price

Chatham County police are still searching for the person who killed an elderly Savannah woman earlier this year. In Januray, 79-year-old Sarah Price was walking to her car at the Piggly Wiggly on Skidaway Road.

Someone in a pickup truck drove by and grabbed her purse, knocking her to the ground. She died a few days later at Saint Joseph's Hospital. CrimeStoppers has increased the reward for information leading to Price's killer.

'The family has pledged an additional $2,500, CrimeStoppers pays up to 2,500 and the Chatham County Police Department pledged up to $5,000," said Demery Bishop of CrimeStoppers. "Total availability is up to 10,000 in that case."

If you have any information, please call CrimeStoppers at 234-2020.
