Braves bombed by Rays

ATLANTA, GA (WTOC) -- Kenshin Kawakami gave up 4 runs in the first inning, two on Evan Longoria's 2-run homer to begin the scoring, and never looked back as the Tampa Bay Rays rain away to a 10-4 victory over the Atlanta Braves.  That all followed a two hour and 20 minute rain delay at the start of the game.

Chipper Jones played for the first time in nearly a week.  He spent the early part of the day conferring with Braves officials, including manager Bobby Cox, about ending his illustrious career.  In the game he doubled and homered in five at-bats.

David Price started for the Rays and the lefty picked up his 10th win of the season.

The Braves and Rays will meet again Wednesday night at Turner Field.
