Death Penalty Sought in Post Office Slaying

The US attorney is asking for the death penalty in a murder case that shocked a small town in the Coastal Empire. It happened in November when investigators say Jason Brown went to the one-room post office in Flemming, just outside of Hinesville. He confronted postal clerk Sallie Gaglia and brutally stabbed her to death.

Since the murder took place inside the post office, it is considered a federal crime. No word yet on when Brown will go to trial.
