SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A third Chatham County prosecutor has resigned in less than three months time.

Friday will be the last day for Chatham County assistant district attorney Allison Bailey. Bailey is quitting after 10 years. She was assigned to juvenile court and most recently state court.

In a statement to WTOC Bailey said, "Juvenile court was my passion, but Mr. Chisolm's shift in office priorities has led me to re-evaluate my life priorities, and I've decided to become a stay-at-home mom."

On Wednesday, Chief Assistant District Attorney Meg Heap announced her resignation. She is leaving August 12 to take a job as a staff attorney for Superior Court Judge Penny Haas-Freesemann.

In April, deputy assistant district attorney Greg McConnell also resigned. He took a job with the Atlantic Circuit's Da's office in Bryan County.

Larry Chisolm was sworn in as Chatham County's district attorney in January 2009. Chisolm released his own statement Wednesday saying any time there is a change in leadership, there is an expectation that some people will leave.
