Today, the Guardian Angels joined the effort to find missing 12-year-old Savannahian Ashleigh Moore. They are searching parts of west side Savannah, sating it's a part of town that has not yet been thoroughly searched. This group of men, relatively new to Savannah, is hoping to find something that will shed some light on Ashleigh's case. The men, decked out in red berets and combat boots, met in Daffin Park. They plan to focus mostly on abandoned houses.

"We wanted to get involved with Ashleigh Moore because this is just ridiculous," said Guardian Angel Norman Whipple. "This doesn't make any sense. Somebody somewhere has seen something or heard something. They might not even realize that they have. Tonight we're meeting down here with Curtis Brown, the organizer of this, and we're going try our best to look into some areas and see what we can come up with."

The Guardian Angels have been operating in Savannah for about two months. They've received training in CPR and defense and their communication skills. They have not had specific training in searching for missing children, but they say that is beside the point. Tonight they're just coming together as part of the community.
