I-16 Lynes Parkway exit closed on Wednesday

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -  The Lynes Parkway exit 164A on I-16 eastbound will be closed on Wednesday, July 7 as Georgia Department of Transportation crews work to replace a damaged overhead sign.

The exit will be closed from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Motorist will be detoured to Exit 164B Lynes Parkway I-516 West and continue on I-516 to Exit 6 Gwinett Street, then turn left at West Gwinett Street, and then left onto the I-516 eastbound ramp.

The DOT is reminding motorist that this is a work zone and they will be required to reduce their speed as they travel through the work zone.

    On Saturday, people heading to the Savannah Children's Museum got the chance to explore and learn about insects at Bug Fest. The event had arts and crafts, workshops, activities, and even a bug-eating contest.
