SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - United States Congressman John Barrow is making the rounds in Georgia's 12th District.

On Tuesday, he kicked off his Veteran's Town Hall Tour at the American Legion Post 184 in Thunderbolt. Over the next three days Barrow plans to sit down with veterans, thank them for their service and listen to their concerns.

Barrow was also excited to tell them about new legislation he just introduced that will give veterans on the job training and experience through the Army Corps of Engineers, which he said they can use to transition to good paying jobs in the private sector.

Barrow said, "Where ever I go folks are concerned about jobs they want us to focus on doing things that will help get the economy out of the doldrums and put people back to work and that's my number one priority."

Barrow's next stop is Statesboro. On Tuesday afternoon he will be at the Honey Bowen Building, 1 Max Lockwood Drive from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
