HAAF Ranger killed in Afghanistan

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Department of Defense announced the death of a Hunter Army Airfield Ranger who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Spc. Joseph Dimock, 21, the second died Saturday in Afghanistan after a non-combat related explosion occurred in an ammunition holding facility. Dimock was assigned to the 1st battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Hunter. He was on his second deployment to Afghanistan and had also served in Iraq.

Dimock is survived by his parents.
