Baby store robbed for a second time

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - An armed robbery at a baby store was odd enough the first time, but then, another robbery happened again at the same store on Tuesday.

Employees said that just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, a masked man came into Babies 1st on Burroughs Street with a gun and demanded money.

The employees happened to be counting cash at the time, so the clerk said the robber made off with quite a bit. The clerk didn't want to be identified, but wanted to make sure her side of the story was heard.

"He put the pistol in my face, and he was 'like give me the money now, I'm not playing,' so I gave him the money and he ran out the door," said the clerk.

The clerk said she won't return to work, it's just too frightening.

Armed bandits robbed the same store just over a month ago. If you know anything about the robberies call police or Crimestoppers at 912.234.2020.
