City council approves new marine patrol units

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah City Council approved three new patrol boats for the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department on Thursday.

The patrol units will cost nearly $6,000 and the money will come from a Homeland Security Grant.

The new units will be used specifically for port security and dive operations.
