SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Board members from the Georgia Lottery were in Savannah for their quaterly meeting at Armstrong Atlantic State University. The lottery has seen unprecendented growth, gaining record profits for twelth consecutive year.
"I really do believe it's because of who the beneficiary is here in Georgia. It's so visible to people all over the state, you know we're talking about 2.2 million people in Georgia over the 17 year history who've been directly impacted by HOPE and pre-kindergarten and the lottery's efforts, so it's just, it's great all the way around," said Margaret DeFrancisco, president and CEO of the Georgia Lottery Corporation.
They also took time out to honor Savannah resident and former lottery board member Ann Crowler during the meeting.
