BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) - Beaufort County Sheriff's Office are looking for a man caught on video surveillance breaking into a car on the northern end of Hilton Head.

A woman's 2009 Hyundai Sonata was broken into on July 18 at Fish Haul Creek Park. The owner of the vehicle told deputies that she and her family got to the park at about 8 p.m. to visit the beach. When they returned to the car less than an hour later, they discovered the driver's side front window had been broken and a wallet missing, according to the sheriff's office.

The park's surveillance shows a black male wearing all black clothing  loitering in the park and looking through the windows of several cars in the parking lot. The video captures that male smashing the window of the woman's gray 2009 Hyundai Sonata, entering the car and fleeing into a nearby wooded area.

The sheriff's office said there were no other reports of vehicles were broken into or damaged.

Those with any information can call investigator Cpl. J. Moran at 843.255.3422 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843.524.2777.
