LIBERTY CO., GA (WTOC) - Traffic signals have been installed at intersection of U.S. 17 and State Road 196 in Liberty County.
The traffic lights on Tuesday afternoon are going into flash mode, which means they'll be working soon, if weather permits.
Traffic on U.S. 17 will have a flashing yellow light at the intersection of State Road 196 and should slow down proceed cautiously through the intersection, according to the Georgia Dept. of Transportation.
Drivers on State Road 196 will have a flashing red light at the intersection of U.S. 17 and must stop before proceeding cautiously through the intersection, according to the Georgia DOT.
Message boards will post reminders about the changes at the intersection.
The traffic lights will be turned on for normal stop-and-go operations on Aug. 5, weather permitting.
