SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Friends and family remembered Savannah's latest murder victim on Tuesday night.

19-year-old Reggie Williams was found covered in blood in Windsor Forest on Monday night. His killer is still on the run.

Now friends and family are demanding answers about his murder. "All we heard is it was a robbery. They took the car he was driving, and from there I don't know what happened," Williams' mother Janice Williams said.

On Tuesday night, dozens of friends and family gathered outside Janice Williams' house to show her support. Williams says she was very close to her youngest son. "Out of all my kids, we were so close. We played a lot together and joked," she said.

Police say Williams drove into Windsor Forest last night and had a discussion with two other men. Neighbors later found him shot in a nearby yard. His car was nowhere to be found, but later turned up nearby on Largo Drive.

For Reggie William's girlfriend, the murder is especially difficult. She says he was always there to cheer her up. "I  can't express how upset I am. When he came into a room, it just lit up. Everyone loved being around him. It's so sad that he is gone. I don't understand why they took him like that," Alexia Mack said.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in tracking down the murderer. If you have any information, call Crimestoppers at 912-234-2020.
