Fourth Shooting in Five Days

Savannah police are investigating the fourth fatal shooting in five days. The big question has been, are they connected? There's no official answer yet.

About 7:15pm last night, neighbors around Mosely and Long Streets on Savannah's east side heard a crash. It looked like the driver of a car somehow lost control, knocking over a utility line, going up on the grass and winding up on somebody's front lawn. They thought it was just an accident, but when they approached the crashed Oldsmobile, they found Everette Simmons shot to death. Officers swarmed the neighborhood, looking for answers.

Just moments later, police chased a red Camero around the same neighborhood. As they chased, someone spotted first one gun, then a second tossed along the side of the street. Police don't know if the two incidents are related.

Police are questioning suspects. They do not know if this is related to the deadly shooting of Camoflauge Monday. They are questioning witnesses.
