Man accused of reaching for officer's gun to appear in court

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A Savannah man who police said tried to take an officer's gun will be in court on Wednesday afternoon.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said Edgar Hamrick was acting disorderly after a woman spotted him on her Savannah property.

The property owner told police she found some marijuana growing in a vacant lot and named Hamrick was the possible owner.

Authorities said he fought with officers and tried to take an officer's gun before being Tasered.
