SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Habersham Marketplace in Beaufort, S.C., will host its fourth First Fridays event at 4 p.m. Aug. 6.
First Fridays features an expanded farmer's market with local and regional growers, along with arts, crafts, specialty food vendors and live music from 4 to 9 p.m.
The farmer's market will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Live local music from Ban Jovi will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. Food vendors will be Bistro Patois, Maggie's Pub and Piace Pizza.
There will also be a cooking demonstration with surprise local chef at 5:30 p.m. The chef will use fresh foods from the Habersham Farmer's Market.
The Independence Fund organization will be back to sell merchandise to benefit wounded war veterans scheduled to attend the October Lt. Dan Weekend in conjunction with The Beaufort Shrimp Festival, according to a news release.
The Independence Fund's mission is to provide the tools, therapies and guidance that veterans who have been severely injured during the War on Terror are otherwise not receiving.
