High heat indices continue

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

High temperatures in the mid 90s combined with moderate humidity levels will produce heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees late Wednesday morning through early this evening.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will provide localized relief from the heat on Wednesday afternoon and evening, according to the NWS.

The advisory affects these Georgia counties: Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, Bulloch, Screven, Candler, Evans, Tattnall, Long, McIntosh. The advisory also affects these South Carolina counties: Hampton, Jaspter and Beaufort.
