SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Someone's video camera goes missing and so do their treasured home videos.
A Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Det. Nicholas E. Melke ended up with a video camera that he believes to have been stolen.
The camera had on it video clips of a younger girl enjoying milestone events such as her first pumpkin carving, Trick or Treating and Christmas. Melke believes that the owners would want the videos back and he wants to return them.
Melke said he's unsuccessfully been trying to track down the family, who may live in southern Effingham County. Most of the video is of a young girl and a mom and daughter goofing around.
Anyone who thinks the camera belongs to them can claim it by contacting the SCMPD Public Affairs Office at 912.651.6666 or emailing Public Affairs Officer Gena Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org.
