SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - One concern brought up again at Monday night's crime meeting - too many renters in Windsor Forest.
Many think that is contributing to crime in the area, including one of last month's murders.
Savannah officials say they haven't moved any public housing residents to the southside and they have no plans to.
"It's not the city putting people in housing on the southside, but market conditions are driving some folks into rental housing that basically needs to be controlled better," said councilman Tony Thomas.
Thomas says the city's landlord ordinance needs to be revised to control how many people can live in one house.
