SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Two men are facing several felony drug charges after a drug bust.

The Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team carried out a search warrant Thursday at a home in the 100 block of East 38th Street after getting a tip about a marijuana growing operation there.

Agents found more than 10 marijuana plants equipped with lighting and an irrigation system, which are worth an estimated $10,000. Fertilizer, marijuana and drug-related items were also seized.

Christopher Allen Roach, 23, Ray Deal Piper, 26, both of Savannah, were charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of tools during the commission of a crime.

They are being held at the Chatham County Detention Center and are expected to be arraigned sometime Friday. More arrests are expected in the case.
