Members of the Savannah-Chatham Board of Education met this afternoon to discuss next year's public school system budget. There were several topics of discussion, including special education. Superintendent John O'Sullivan gave a PowerPoint presentation on the potential budget adjustments recommended by board members for the next school term. School board president Hugh Golson voiced some of his concerns.
"We see a desire to shift all of our facilities from Rally over to the Scott learning system," he said. "Is that another good idea? And if we do that we'll need extra money to maintain the Rally building."
In addition to the board members' recommendations, O'Sullivan included some of his own potential budget adjustments for the upcoming school year.
