SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - An eastside neighborhood has reopened Thursday afternoon after it was evacuated when a Bazooka round was found underneath a home.
Air conditioning technicians were working on a home on Evergreen Avenue when they discovered a bazooka near the unit and called police. The street was shut down and the area was evacuated.
It was discovered that the Bazooka round was a dummy round and it is being taken to Fort Stewart.
A homeowner who just moved to the neighborhood said she was scared and relieved that it's all over with.
