Ranger Dies at Fort Stewart

A United States Ranger has died in a training accident. Specialist Brandon Miller of the 75th Ranger Regiment was killed during a parachute jump yesterday afternoon at Fort Stewart.

Miller, a native of Illinois, joined the Army in 2000 and was assigned to the First Ranger Battalion two years ago. He served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom where he earned the Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Army Commendation Medal.

The Army doesn't know what caused the accident and is investigating.
